YAVNEH'S HELPING HANDS FOR THE HOMELESS RAISES MORE THAN $20,000 TO SUPPORT FAMILY GATEWAY MONTESSORI.
Yavneh Academy's Helping Hands for the Homeless students provided an opportunity for dozens of backpacks to be filled with school supplies for the children of Family Gateway, at the same time raising more than $20,000 to help those same children get a strong educational start.
YAVNEH VARSITY BULLDOGS BARK IS BACK!! TOP RANKING IN TEXAS & SUCCESS AT THE COOPER TOURNAMENT!
The Yavneh Bulldogs Varsity Basketball team is posted #14 in the state of Texas for Small Private Schools, in a just-released ranking by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. This is the first time that the Bulldogs have been ranked in over 10 years. The team also placed fifth, with a three and one record, at the 2013 Cooper Yeshiva High School National Invitational Basketball Tournament in Memphis, TN. Sam Kleinman '14 was named one of five All-Tournament Team honorees and fellow senior Adam Schor was named to the All-Star Team.
YAVNEH ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL DR. TIM CLOWARD IN THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

BULLDOG PRINT GARNERS HONORS
The Bulldog Print received a Gold Award, for overall newspaper, at the 2013 ILPC - Interscholastic League Press Conference awards. The honors were the first for The Bulldog Print, now in its eighth year. With many individual and Silver Star awards in the past, this is the paper's first Gold Star, awarded only to eight student newspapers across the state of Texas. In addition, The Bulldog Print was among the papers honored as a Distinguished Merit Newspaper.
At the 2013 Dallas Morning News High School Journalism Day and Competition, The Bulldog Print received the following awards:

The Bulldog Print was also awarded the “Best in Show” for broadsheet, 13 to 16-page newspapers at the Fall 2012 National High School Journalism Convention, sponsored by the National Scholastic Press Association and the Journalism Education Association.
SYLVAN T. BAER GRANT RECOGNIZED
Yavneh Academy is proud to be the recipient of a grant from the Sylvan T. Baer Fund administered by the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation. The Sylvan T. Baer Fund was established and funded in the 1970’s by Sylvan T. Baer through a bequest in his will. This fund has distributed over five million dollars since 1988 to local Jewish agencies.The purpose of the fund is to assist Jews in need in areas of human service and Jewish education. The fund continues to grow and generate income which is used to support the organizations forever. We appreciate being recognized by the Foundation for our contribution to furthering Jewish education in Dallas.
YAVNEH ALUM NAMED TO WALL OF FAME
Yavneh graduate Itzy Ribald was one of five inaugural members inducted into the Yeshiva University Sarachek Wall of Fame in 2006. The five inductees were chosen from the more than 500 players and coaches who have participated in the tournament over the past 15 years. Ribald was a two-time member of the All-Tournament Team, a two-time winner of the three-point shootout, and averaged 23.8 points per game over three tournament appearances.
